Central PA Open Source Conference (CPOSC) 2009 - Call for Participation

Event Date: October 17, 2009

CPOSC, the Central PA Open Source Conference, is a one-day, multi-track, low-cost conference about all things open source: software, programming, operating systems, community and more. It will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the new Harrisburg University campus in Harrisburg, PA.

As members of various open source related organizations in the area (including CPLUG & CP.rb) they realized that there is a wealth of talent and knowledge just waiting for a venue in which it can be shared. So the idea of CPOSC was born. A time and place where people with a desire to gain knowledge and people with a desire to share knowledge can meet. Last year’s conference was such a success they decided to do it again!

Talk proposals will be accepted until early July at which time we will choose the best topic ideas, announce the program content, and begin the registration process. Check out the Speaker FAQ for additional information.

Watch the CPOSC website and the Twitter feed for announcements in the coming weeks and months as the conference details are confirmed.

Questions? Suggestions? Contact the organizers via email (team at cposc dot org) or IRC (#cposc channel on irc.cplug.net).

An aside: I attended the CPOSC last October and it was a great day.  Very good topics, well-qualified presenters and an all-around nice time.
